Terms

  • Services are provided on a piecemeal basis to reduce your costs; performance of one service does not obligate the lawyer to perform any additional services
  • Only services paid for in advance and agreed to by the attorney will be performed. Clients will not be charged for services without an express order.
  • All fees are paid in advance directly to Monica Malek-Yonan, on-line through this web page by Visa, Discover, or Mastercard, only. You will receive a confirmation e-mail of payment receipt and direct contact by the lawyer to arrange for it.
  • She confers with California Tenant Law director Ken Carlson on your case
  • Charges for research and document preparation do not include follow-up contact regarding the paperwork except for defects or corrections in the paperwork; problems with the court clerks, landlord's attorney, filing difficulties, and other problems require additional payment as Follow-up
  • Services may not be available due to attorney's schedule.
  • IMPORTANT: You are responsible for monitoring your own case, ordering the required services in timely fashion, providing the requested documentation to the lawyer, and keeping the lawyer informed as to the status of your case.
  • Best efforts will be made to accommodate the short time periods required by landlord-tenant cases, but clients must arrange and pay for legal services and provide the necessary papers at least one full business day in advance.
